Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur
Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur is held every year in November. It is considered the most significant short film festival in Switzerland and is a popular public festival and also an important venue for the international short film industry.
The short film programs offer insight into different worlds, inspire discussion of political and social issues, or simply provide an entertaining escapade. A varied program of installations and interventions explores the potential of short film in all its diversity and an artfully decorated bar round off the festival experience.
Kurzfilmtage awards cash and in-kind prizes with a total value of CHF 69 000.–. Under certain conditions, films from the Kurzfilmtage competitions qualify for nomination consideration for the Oscar®, the BAFTA Award, the European Film Award (candidacy), and the Swiss Film Award.
Short films of all genres no longer than 30 minutes (International Competition) or 40 minutes (Swiss Competition) can now be submitted.
The dates: November 5 – 10, 2024.
The submission deadline: July 16, 2024
