The festival took place in spite of the dramatic events, even though we have been in this vortex for several years. The pandemic, brutal political repression, and now war have raised important questions and kept us on our toes. Our film programs have proven to be urgent and relevant to this tragic and difficult time. It gives faith and meaning to our work.
