This program challenged us about the possibility and viability of horror within a short film. Usually we are faced with attempts to imitate feature-length horror movies. But we must honestly admit that unless we are talking about a witty parody of the genre, worthy examples are extremely rare in the world of short films. At best, it’s ridiculous how cheesy it looks. In our opinion, the problem lies in the a priori capitulation of the short horror film author to the feature movie. We described this problem in our essay on the sacred screen and big cinema. In short, we venture to say that we have some really noteworthy works in front of us. At least we’ll be standing on the front lines of rotten tomatoes and eggs.
