VANCOUVER TESS
Ryley O’Byrne (Canada, 17 min)
After a night of heavy partying, twenty-something Tess wakes up in a stranger’s bed and faces the lonely reality of her life — banal solitary days followed by routine parties with so-called friends. Vancouver Tess is a solemn portrait of Vancouver circa 2010 and a meditation on early millennial culture and the misconstrual of connection for the community.
PURA VIDA
Martin Gonda (Slovakia, 30 min)
The financial crisis enters the households of a provincial town and people start to lose their jobs. Two adolescent brothers rebel against their father, a factory foreman, who becomes a scapegoat for the frustrated community.
THE SPECTACLE
Ivo Neefjes (Belgium, 15 min)
In 2014, two girls, aged 13 and 14, tortured and killed a vulnerable woman in her own home. We don’t know what exactly transpired that night. However, the girls posted pictures and videos on social media throughout the night.
FREDDIE
Adrià Pagès Molina (Spain, 15 min)
Alfredo -also known as Freddie- has had a complicated life: he’s involved in shady deals, drugs, and violence. Because of that, his upper-class family declared him persona non grata. When he finds out that his father, with whom he hasn’t spoken in years, has only a few hours left, he decides to go say good-bye to him.

Pol Diggler (Spain, 4 min)
An ordinary schoolgirl’s life unravels after an evil creature takes over her body. Only her mother, with the help of a strange doctor, will be able to save her.
ANNA
Dekel Berenson (United Kindom – Ukraine, 15 min)
Living in war-torn Eastern Ukraine, Anna is an aging single mother who is desperate for a change. Lured by a radio advertisement, she goes to party with a group of American men who are touring the country, searching for love.
