Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is aptly defined as Cannes or Berlinale for short films. Its well-developed industry platform, short film distribution system, and steady growth of the festival’s attendance (reaching more than 170,000 visitors) justify its right to be called the number one short film festival in the world. The history of the festival goes back more than 40 years. Audiences have a choice of 600 films, across all sections, and the three competitions (national, international, and Lab). The programming team receives each year more than 7000 short films submissions.
Requirements for short films:
- Films completed after October 1st, 2020
- Maximum running time: 40 minutes
- Origin: All countries (except France)
- Festival screening format: DCP
The dates: February 2-10, 2024.
The submission deadline: October 3, 2023 (for films completed in 2023)
